What is mental health?

Mental health is just as important as our physical health. Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others and make choices. Good mental health means being generally able to think, feel and react in the ways that you need and want to live your life. Mental health problems include anxiety disorders, behavioural and emotional disorders in children, depression, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and obsessive compulsive disorders.

How can homeopathy help your mental health?

Homeopathy expertly addresses mental health through psychological assessment, selection of a remedy based on homeopathic laws and principles and ongoing analysis and treatment with follow up appointments. The aim of treatment is to understand your experience of mental health as an individual, as opposed to a conventional one size fits all approach. Homeopathy is a complete system of treatment that addresses how you think, feel and experience mental health, including its interrelationship with your physical health.

What to expect at your appointment

When you visit a homeopath the aim is to find out how your experience of being unwell is different from everybody elses.  Homeopathy is based on the idea of individualisation, because the way in that we experience being unwell differs from one person to the next.  The way you think, feel and experience everything in relation to being sick provides important information.  Behavioural patterns, causative and moderating factors, personal, medical and family history, environmental responses, desires and aversions and diet provide are just some of the areas that are taken into consideration for a homeopathic prescription.
